Richard Koshalek
Richard Koshalek began his tenure as the fourth President of Art Center College of Design in September of 1999 and has positioned the College at the center of national and global dialogue in design and visual communications. He was formerly the Director of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles for close to 20 years and established its reputation as an internationally recognized museum with a notable permanent collection. He has a strong interest and connection to urban development and has been involved with a number of architecturally significant projects, including chairing the architectural selection committees that selected Frank Gehry for the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Thom Mayne to design the Caltrans headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, and serving on the Committee of Assessors that selected Herzog & de Meuron as the architect for the Tate Gallery of Modern Art at Bankside in London. He is a recipient of the Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the French Government.


Rina Carvajal
Rina Carvajal is the Executive Director and Chief Curator of Miami Art Central. She was previously director of the Mason Gross Art Galleries at Rutgers University. She worked as a curator for the 1998 XXIV Sao Paulo Biennial, and was Ahmanson Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MoCA, LA) from 1997-2000. Formerly, Ms. Carvajal was curator of contemporary art at the Museum of Fine Arts as well as deputy director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, both in Caracas, Venezuela. She is also the author of numerous essays and exhibition catalogues on international contemporary art.
